Klingon ships are built to circle around and plink their enemies to death, not rush in for the kill in one big blast. The 9-15 range bracket is especially nice, as they retain a decent chance to hit, while staying out of range of overloaded photons and such.

So, I have 348 ship cards, so far. The double-sized cards (10) are in full-sized sheet protectors.

Yeah, I think the backs actually cover that part, so they're not sticking out much at all. The deluxe versions are double sided, and I went with them to get the most bang for the buck(s).

If it's no trouble, could you tell me how many you have?

Maybe I'm just too lazy to count my ship cards. :D ...

I've posted this before, but it bears reiterating.

I use the half sized (5.5 x 8.5 inch) sheet protectors and binders from Staples.
I keep each variant... yes, variant... in it s one protector, so there are 3 CA's in one protector, three CC's in another, 3 CA (middle years) in a third, a CAD in ...

Gotcha :) . I've been doing about 3 ships of the same number per pocket, which helps the protectors last longer.

I've been using the Rabco sheet protectors in standard D-Ring binders. They're a bit pricey, but they've been worth it.

That totally makes sense, especially with how far you're into FC. Clearly, there is more than one solution to the storage problem :).

I just picked up some of the Rabco deluxe (dual sided/four-pocket) protectors. The shipping's a little steep, because of the weight, but I think they're well worth the price.

In the SFB Tactics Manual, there are some examples of different fleet formations used by the various Alpha octant powers. They really don't match up with Crossing the T though (since SFB/FC ships don't generally fly in long lines).

I ran my first games (using the First Missions rules) with my kids. The ship cards are extremely easy to use; my daughter (9) had no problem grasping the concept, and my son (6) just needed some help with the math and reading. They both would play again. I have a session lined up with one of my long ...

There's a typo under (4MC3a) Arming, on the second column of the PDF, where there is a partial duplication of text:

to either increase the Power Level or to maintain
a \"rolling delay\" at the previous Power Level, all

I received my first shipment of FC items (Klingon Border, Klingon Attack, boosters 1 & 2, Rev 6 Reference Rulebook) yesterday. As a former SFB player, it was nice to have the rules all fit in a Captain's Log-sized book. No doubt this is only the first of many orders 8).

Based on other games, if I have the option of buying laminated cards or PDFs, my preference is laminated cards, but having color PDFs available at a reasonable price is a great option. I have a color laser printer and my wife has a laminator, so I have some flexibility there.
