Reference Rulebook PDF on the Kindle
Has anyone tried the Reference Rulebook PDF on the Kindle?
I gave the First Missions PDF a go, and the formatting made it just too small to be comfortable reading on the Kindle's screen.
Thanks

Yeah, I got a Kindle almost specifically for this purpose. I read Scoutdad's earlier assessment of the RRB on his wife's Kindle (here: http://tinyurl.com/63az75b), and went with that.
You can view a whole page in just-readable print, like you did with the First Missions booklet, but with it being a pdf file you can also zoom in on parts of the page too. Alternatively, set it up so it displays in Landscape view, and you can then scroll up and down a half-page at a time. That's the way that works best for me.
All in all, it's not as easy as a paper rulebook, nor as easy as reading it on a laptop in Adobe Reader. Plus of course there's no colour.
However it's a lot more portable than a laptop, and it has the advantage that you always have the most up-to-date version to hand.

Wanted Xoom...
Looked at Xoom...
Drooled over Xoom...
Realized it was Xoom or Origins...
Debated, Pondered, weighed Pros and Cons (no pun intended)...
Finally flipped a coin (2010 Munchkin Silver Coin, if anyone is curious...)
Origins won.
Maybe for Xmas...

Reminder set in Outlook... email will follow shortly after Origins.Steve Cole wrote:Sometime after Origins, I could rearrange pages and do a version of the book that would just happen to fit a kindle screen. If anybody is interested, remind me then.

Until a new "edition" is released, yes. e23 will notify you of updates by email and you can download the updated version free.Ogre44 wrote:So, if I get the PDF I get to download the updates to the ruleset as the amendments are made?Kang wrote: it has the advantage that you always have the most up-to-date version to hand.

The Sixth Edition was released just this past February.
I wouldn't expect a new edition for a couple of years.
