Jindarians in Federation Commander?
Over in the FC Online topic, HappyDaze raised the question of adding the Jindarians to Federation Commander.
It is always possible. As Steve always says, anything is possible, but not everything can be done. So, for Jindarians to be added to Federation Commander, there would need to be interest in it and, quite frankly, I do not remember anyone actually asking for them.
I mean I wouldn't mind seeing them, if only because they are are now an imbedded part of the lore of the SFU, and they are the last part of the main section of lore that is not in Federation Commander. Even just a CL article (treating them like the various conjectural, simulator, and never-rans) would probably be good. But, if there is no interest in them, is it worth the bother?
EDIT: Please let's not worry about talking about how to covert the Jindarians to Federation Commander. We can figure that out easily enough when it is determined to be worth the effort. The main question is if it is worth the effort, and if anyone has any interest in them at all.

I too would like to see the Jindarians in Federation Commander... so I can have a basis to use for porting them into ACTASF!Steve Cole wrote:I will do a Jindarian module sometime after I finish Gunboats Attack (this fall), Fighters Attack, and X-Ships Attack.

There seems to be two big problems with the Jindos:
1) They just aren't that popular, so there likely isn't sufficient sales forecast to justify putting them out. Particularly if it is done as a single-empire effort.
2) They had some tactical nuances in SFB (that I think are somewhat mitigated in FC) that are problematic.
Both of those issues have to be addressed before they can eventually be published. They are obviously solvable, but the work remains to be done.
On the plus side, one of those three precursors, Gunboats Attack, has been published.

In theory, Mike could work up rules and I could whip up ship cards and we could do a PDF product. There is no way we could do laminated cards and counters; the sales potential isn't there. And you run into the problem that while we can do anything, we cannot do five things at once, so doing Jindarians means not doing X-ships or Fighters or something else. If we drop what we're doing every time a new idea comes along we'd get to the end of the year with 52 half-finished products and nothing to sell.
