So, I just played the Space Boar scenario for the first time and I feel like I must have done something wrong, but no idea what.
My wife and I played in Squadron Scale. She was the Orion Raider.
She starts turn #1 8 hexes from the first buoy, running speed 16. On impulse 4 she gets to range 0 and unloads a fully overloaded photon, 2 drones, and a few phasers destroying the first buoy. She then turns, uses some acceleration and gets relatively close to the second buoy and fires whats left of her phasers on impulse 8.
On turn #2, I enter the map about 10 hexes away from her, but she closes to range 0 on the second buoy, fires 2 more drones and all her phasers and immediately destroying the 2nd buoy, thus winning the game before I can even fire a shot.
Did we do something wrong? The Orion CR in Squadron scale can easily do 50 points of damage quickly so its almost a guarantee that the first buoy will be dead before I can enter the map, even with some bad rolls.
