I've been working on finding some suitable proxies for Kzinti lately.

I've got a few of these guys from Dark Sword Miniatures. In fact they're Kzinti. They're in full body armor, so they make excellent Kzinti Marines. Although I don't think the Starfleet Kzinti have tails however. I don't recall seeing any Kzinti artwork that shows them with tails. So that may need some modifications.

Another model I just picked up recently is the Togorain Soldier from Star Wars Miniatures. He's about the same height as the pewter Dark Sword model and doesn't have a tail. The soft plastic may make him easy to cut and modify.

While looking at Star Wars Miniatures, I found this guy who may make a decent proxy for a Slirdarian. The Yuzzem sort of looks like a cross between a bear and a gorilla. He is a bit big however, even for a Slirdarian. I just need to find a large disruptor rifle to put in his arms.

IIRC, Kzintis don't have tails, but those are easy to clip off.

Obviously you've never tried to hold a Kzinti down and clip his tail!!!

GPD for 3E makes note that the SFU Kzin don't have tails and have cat-ears, not Niven's "parasol" ears. (This also means they don't match TAS.) P. 31, right col, last para.

I would be so all over an SFB miniatures game! I think it would really appeal. I would recommend 6mm or 15mm given that the scale of SF Marines is platoon/company.

This 'verse has a great deal to offer the gaming community.
