Origins 2011 - Who's going???

Post by Scoutdad »

It's time for the Origins 2011 Early Bird registration.
I'm registered, who else is planning to attend this year?

I'm still thinking about going... I haven't decided yet. I'm half wondering what events ADB is going to have...

We will have what we always have, minus the gold hat.

Will there be blood wine?

I've gone the last 2 years, but I don't know about this year. It will depend on my employment situation. I'm hoping for a big change (but that may mean I'm not elligible for vacation time).

I think I will be there. I wouldn't mind running something pro-ADB in the board room, or Federation Admiral related, but I need to talk to SVC first.

I am pretty sure I am going again this year, just not sure how.

Option A: Burt and I make it a road trip this year, not in the mood for all the flight delays.

Option B: Family trip, maybe by train up to Niagara Falls (part of the negotiation) or to Cincinnati (to visit college friends).

How can anyone drink Diet Dr Pepper! Yeuch!

Not that I can talk - Scottish descended Klingons like to drink Irn Bru (which for our US readers is a sickly sweet soda drink that has the miraculous power to cure hangovers).
Nothing is quite as persuasive as a disruptor pistol on slow burn and a rotisserie......

I'll be going. Maybe I can save a few starships from a fate worse than death! Rumor has it that SPP spent two days at home training our challenged starships to "stay" on command. Word is they are pretty good at it, as long as the terrain is flat.

Great... I guess that means I'll be doing my part by adopting some of the wee laddies and giving them a good home with lots of flat terrain to frolic on.

Not to mention a lot of Hydran shaped chew toys to teeth on

I really want to go, but sadly, I don't think I'll be able to--I just won't have accrued enough vacation time to support Origins and some other required family trips this year. *Sigh*

I'm in that boat. But I do enjoy Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. I guess those other flavors are enough to cover up the "diet drink" taste of the original, at least for me. YMMV. :D
