Shield crackers / PA panels

I know it was asked a few times just before W&P was released, but I see no rule to allow Shield crackers to affect PA panels.

Do I take it that they don't, or will they get an amendment/clarification to allow it?

Shield crackers will have their damage converted into energy as any other weapon. So, an Intruder hit with two shield crackers will have to put 8 damage into their PA panel boxes. If the Intruder had only 4 remaining boxes on the PA panel track, the excess damage from the shield crackers would be lost as they cannot score internals. MJWest will have the final ruling, but this is my understanding.

3G7a clearly states that SC damage is absorbed by PAs but will not directly cause internal damage.
