BoM #1

Post by Hod K'el »

Just wondering...Comm #50 said BoM #1 was going to come out next fall. Does that mean next fall as in 2010 or next fall as in not this fall (2010) but next fall as in 2011?

I'm pretty sure it means 2010.

As much as it pains me to do so... I have to agree with pinecone!

BoM should be out fall of 2010.

I am pretty sure it meant 2010. Let's see how everything else goes.

Remember that before Briefing #2, it was thought this style of product would be easy to do. Now it is known this isn't the case. This needs to be scheduled around Briefing #3, which is needed for Federation Admiral. So, while that was the plan, we will have to wait to see what the eventuality is.

Heh, the more I see of Borders of Madness, the more I think it'll cause angst of D&D proportions. Particularly of the 3X variety. :)
I'm wise enough to know that I don't know half as much as I think I know, you know?

It won't happen in 2010.

We'll see how PDF sales of Briefing #2 go.

Do you mean Briefing #3? Isn't it hard to judge whether PDF sales are viable if it is an existing product? Or am I missing the point?

I think B#2 is what is meant. PDFs of Module Prime Alpha (for Prime Directive) and Klingon Armada ship record sheets are already on sale. AFAIK no FC products are available as PDFs yet. IDK why B2 is being chosen, unless it is because it didn't sell that well as hardcopy and ADB is unlikely to be losing much if it gets pirated. But that's just speculation.

Ok, that makes sense. For what it is worth, I purchased B#2 as a book, but I'll certainly think about buying the PDF version as I would like to have the cards in PDF form as it is easier to print them out.

FCB2 sold fine as a hard copy, and still does. It was picked because players asked for the ship cards, since we did not do them as laminated cards.

The plan is six packs of 12 ship cards for $9.95 per "pack".

Will the ship cards for B2 be in color? Or is that asking for too much?

They are already in color. The B&W limit is the printing, not the source.
