overhead projector maps

We have an overhead projector that we can display stuff from our laptops at work. I'm wondeirng if anyone knows of any application that can be used as a map on the laptop so I can display it on our overhead projector.

You might be able to use VASSAL or one of the other play-by-email clients.

I've seen some pretty cool setups using projectors. Several took the projector, mounted it to the ceiling and projected the map down onto a blank table.

Autorealm is a pretty nice open source application for mapping. It should be in every serious wargamer's application library.
