What New Minis Do You Want?

The B9 is already sculpted (by John Schneder) and may be coming in the near future.

Starline 2400: We reviewed the available minis and sent several (Juggy, Fed DD engine, F5W, terminator, B9, ISC BB, Vudar DN, Vudar FF, Vudar DD) to Bruce.
("Bruce" is Bruce Graw of AOG, the casting house). What actually ends-up/ended-up in the mold hasn't been made public yet.

I don't think that the FD7 would sell enough to be worth making, or would be different enough for anyone to notice (which is why it wouldn't sell much).
As for the B9, I await the report from the mold guy.
We sent them a bunch of ships. Bruce Graw was given a priority list (F5W, Juggy, then others). He will see how many ships will fit into the mold. It could be that when it gets down to the final slot, a small ship (say, the terminator) would get in while a higher rated but larger ship might not. I suspect that if the Juggy works, the B9 will not make it into the mold.
When I have the new pegasus, I will send that, and the leftover ships will be used for a second master mold, so at worst the B9 would wait for that mold.

The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

I am working on my kitbashes of the SD7 Strike Cruiser and FD7 Fast Cruiser, and they are being done using castable methods, but as SVC said the market is not there.
If that changes, mine could be stripped and be used as masters whenever needed.

Per a suggestion from SVC, I'm posting this here (to test the waters for "demand") -
Would there be any interest in minis for these ships?
None of these are in FedCom, (yet). In particular, it's possible the Heavy War Destroyer class of ships (HDW) may never appear in FedCom, due to the needed rules for the Non-Weapon Option mounts. However, they are nifty ships in SFB and would make for interesting-looking minis. I can produce a master for any of these without too much trouble, should SVC decide the demand is indeed there. I'll be kit-bashing some of them for my own purposes anyways
- Romulan SaberHawk HDW (SkyHawk with enlarged rear-hull and third engine)
- Romulan JayHawk FFB (SeaHawk with hull-enlargement and third [Snipe] engine)
- Kzinti HDW (DW with stretched rear-hull and a fourth engine [a mini-NCA])
- Kzinti FFB (FF with expanded rear hull and fourth engine [a micro-NCA])
- Gorn HBD (Battle Destroyer with stretched center hull and more systems)
- Orion HDW (DW with third engine and expanded "nose")
- Hyran DWA ([Demon Hunter HDW] Buffalo Hunter DW, with enlarged hull and more systems)
- Lyran Top-Alleycat HDW (DW with enlarged center section and fourth engine [a mini-NCA])
- Lyran Jagdpanther (combination of War Cruiser center and Light Cruiser outer hulls. A one of a kind testbed ship)
- WYN Thresher HDW (a stretched DW with D5 engines)

I wouldn't be in a particular rush to get any of those units, to be honest.
(Also, I noticed there was no ISC option - but then, there are other Concordium ships I'd sooner want to see in mini form, rather than their HDW.)
Oh, speaking of rules, there might be room for some kind of limited non-weapon option rules someday - not least since the Jindarian ships (if at least the metal-hulls ever come over to FC at some point) tend to have sets of optional boxes on their nomadic ships.

I would love to have some more Kzintis:
MEC
CVL
I'm not entirely sure if these can be represented by other minis, but nevertheless, there they are.
Also, I would like the Romulan Snipe to be available as a separate mini. As it is, I have to get a War Eagle, and the Snipe is pretty useful to me as a small expendable escort. Plus it packs a mean punch with it's three plasmas.

"I'm invincible!"
"You're a loony."

As always, yo can ask Leanna to sell you a Snipe individually--she's normally very amenable to things like that.
The MEC can most likely be represented by the Medium Cruiser, just file off or paint over the disruptors and replace them with some phasers.
I'm not sure about the CVL, since the total number of boxes in the rear hull remains about the same from the BC to the CVL, but the exterior should change to enlarge the hangar bay on the front and have a large one on the bottom of the hull as well.
Easy enough to convert. Heck, with your skill with styrene, I bet you could slap a new cover on the front of the rear hull of the BC, and add a small docking port on the bottom with all the details already on it.
Great, now I just put the idea in my head and I'm going to have to make one of these!
And these are just my opinions (read: not worth much).

What would Frax ships actually look like?
Personally, I 'really' hate the idea of something resembling a wet-navy pre-dreadnought, smokestacks, masts, ram bows and all, flying through space. Yes, they're simulator icons, so they 'could' look like an ironclad, or for that matter like the Fairy Tinkerbelle if they wanted to; I'd just rather they didn't.
But I always did like the 'pointy rocket ship' profile of the Frax SSDs. I know it was meant to represent a top-down view of a surface ship, but a classic 1950's style movie look would be quite distinctive in the game - after all, Rodenberry deliberately avoided in the TV series.
Any ideas?
