ISC Battleship Question
I believe the mini for this ship is being created.
I was wondering, when the FC SSD is created by ADB, will the 6 ISC fighters be included? The fighters only use the Phaser-3.
The SFB SSD has 6 fighters and 6 shuttles.
Also, the Point value for the SFB SSD is 360. Does that include the fighters?
I am making my own personal SSD until the ADB one comes out.

The facilities to support fighters are simply removed. So, if the ISC has 6 shuttle boxes, plus six fighter boxes in SFB, then the FC version will just have 6 shuttle boxes. Note that having the six fighter boxes does NOT include the fighters. The fighters must be purchased in addition to the cost of the battleship. (Just like with any ship that carries fighters.)
The base cost of any ship that carries fighters includes nothing in the fighter boxes, not even shuttles. So, if only the base cost of the ship is paid for, the fighter boxes are empty. Even carrying normal shuttles in the fighter boxes requires that the cost of the shuttles be paid.
As for the base cost of the battleship, it was apparently decided that since the fighters are an adjunct to the battleships firepower, the loss of the facilities to carry them did not justify a point value reduction.
On the cost of the Klingon, their cost wasn't raised. In SFB, the cost of the Klingon (and Kzinti and Fed) did not include the faster drones. So, the "raised costs" you see for those three are a result of the faster drones it carries by default.

Thats what I thought too. I wondered why a battleship would have fighters.
The conversions that FC already did look good. I look forward to getting the one for the ISC Battleship.
I would not expect that SSD to be in War & Peace do to the size of the SSD (a full page). It would be a good choice for Comminique either now or when War & Peace is about to go to the stores.
I will send the one that I work up to Steve for him to review. Its not up to ADB quality as I dont have the proper software but it is a good cut & paste job.

I think there is a chance battleships might be included in the main War and Peace product as I seem to remember battleships for the Hydrans and Lyrans were included in Distant Kingdoms. I would think it is easier to put them in the main product that introduces their race as it can hold the larger sheets.

I'm ok with the fact that the battleships generally don't have fighters. Fighters are yet one more headache and detail that I'd rather not deal with. For me the golden years of naval warfare were before fighters were introduced. Nothing brings out the glory of naval combat like fleet formations and broadsides. Flagships (ie battleships) being the center and of the devastation. When fighters came out, I think it took away from much of this. I totally understand why the fighter is king out there today, but I don't really like it.
Being an ISC enthusiast, I can't wait for W&P to come out. I love the fact I can play with them now, in a somewhat limited fashion. Hydran Attack is cool, but it pales in comparison for my excitement of War and Peace.
