Middle Years
I just got my copy of Middle Years. I am dying to play the older ships! I love the fact that ships have blatant weaknesses, it make the tactics more interesting. Each race has more distince differences. Phasers-3s are not ubiquitous, each race has different shield structures, and drones are not everywhere. Ships have less power, making a base speed of 24 a little more difficult.
Also slower drones will be nice (unless your a kzinti, but even then it should be fine). Ships tend to have less power, so I am imagining that base spd 24 won't be used as much. Alos, I am hoping that plasma shooters do a little better since opponents might be slower.
WHEN IS BOOSTER 91 Coming?

Once again I have proven that even in the future, your photon torpedoes are built by the lowest bidder.

I just picked up FCB2 yesterday and really enjoyed the history section.
Now I'm wondering something. I *know* SVC has to have color versions of those ship diagrams. I'm just wondering what it will take to get him to make them available to those who have bought FCB2???

I just got Briefing 2 today, and I like it!
Nice to see the Royal Tiger made it in, and the Royal Panther is a nice touch - though I would have liked to see the Klingon LD5 make the cut.
(Perhaps it could be an addition for a Communiqué?)
I hope that this book will pave the way for other settings to get the briefing treatment, such as Omega, M81...
...and a certain satellite galaxy which I have been known to show an interest in.

S, M, L, or XL?
Oh wait. we're out of stock for M and XL.
Still interested?
Then call MEGALANICS-987-654-321! We'll get you to a villa in Andromean controlled space charge free!
(Briefing Room: Liutenant: All right commander, I didn't tell them they were being sacrificed. Commander: Good work, you have leave.

Stinger 1s with only *one* fusion beam?
I hope they're reduced to speed-8 as well, just to make sure.
Lol! I think I'll give this product a miss...
EDIT - My apologies, I should have explained myself more clearly. My point was not the presence of the (one) Fusion Beam, but the absence of the Gatling.
Stinger 2s remain marginally effective because they retain the Gatling, Stinger 1s with only one Fusion and a P3 look to be too nerfed to live.
As I said, as a Hydran, I don't feel the need to purchase this one.
