Actually - I am already planning to attend next year.. .and bring reinforcements.

(I still think it was Battlegroup Acadiana against Scoutdad  )

Did y'all finish out the 3rd battle after we left?

You're more than welcome. Feel free to ask about painting minis anytime you want. There are several great painters on this forum.

I'd say it's safe to say that there will be a bigger Fed Comm presence next year. I'll most likely be there for the whole week end (as will some other members of Battlegroup Murfreesboro).

If we can get 3 or 4 from BGM plus the same ones from Acadiana and a few more for next year... anyone up to try a squadron scale starbase assualt on Saturday? If we started at 9:00 a.m., we'd have a whole day to resolve it and maybe a dozen players or so.

Starbase plus defending units against an entire task force would ensure that no one was completely eliminated early and then spent the rest of the morning watching...

not to mention any names

I'm up for it! May have to bring a BB next time, but I love my Orions!

It was great meeting you in person. I really enjoyed it!

More than happy to assist in any effort or endeavor that comes up. I am glad that you asked questions in detail. As you could probably tell, I really liked the Lyrans that Scoutdad had...absolutely beautiful! And the fact that I need to add more detail to my ships ( I am just hurting on time.) Also, it was a pleasure meeting you and I hope to see your finished ships next year!

Hod K'el,
Thanks again for your time and allowing me to pick your brain! Was a great pleasure meeting you and all the other folks there at the FC game.
Looking forward to next year and seeing ya'll there.
And if I have any questions on painting my minis I will be sure to ask ya'll here.

I was certainly great getting to meet everyone, and I'll be looking forward to next year.

You wouldn't have been in the middle of the Acadiana group's ships if you hadn't run away from my Gorn! :P

The last game didn't last much longer after you left - a few impulses later my Hydran and malleman's Kzin were the only ones left undamaged. With all but one of my phaser's already fired and the Kzin still having 4 drone racks ready to launch I went ahead and conceded. Though it being 8pm and not having eaten dinner yet had something to do with it too. :)

Crimin had the overall advantage. I had 2 drones left in each of my racks and would have had to reload. I was kind of waiting for you guys to take each other out before I committed my last attack. You know subpulse 8 of turn and then subpulse 1 of next turn.

Getting ready to post pics.

I am not going to post pics of everyone unless I get permission from you 1st. This includes the group shot. Just to let you knowI don't mind if you post a pic of me. It may lead to a movie contract  .

My favorite photo! :D
Fortunately, no one has one of the end of this game... as I was running for my life from the Gorn and the Orion who were h*ll bent on reducing my beautifily painted SparrowHawk into a slowly expanding cloud of ionized dueterium atoms and so much plasma...

I guess that's what I get for removing the Kzinti from their targetting screens.
