Federation Commander

Continuing to veer off of the original topic, a while back I played a version of the SFB Admiral's Campaign but instead of using SFB or FC to resolve the combats, I resolved each fight as an F&E combat hex. Made for an interesting diversion.

It's a different system, so I don't see how it could. Even if they are both used to gather information, that's about the only similarity between the two.

Looks like we were just a week off there Scoutdad. If I didn't have the crud last weekend I'd have asked you for a game!

I haven't heard from my buddy here so it'll just be me going up Sunday.

1. Yes, but for Hydrans only and they only have a single type of fighter. It was decided that other races' fighters throwing drones out everywhere bogs down the game too much with all the map clutter.

I'm free every Sunday in June as of now. Little Wars' web site lists Sundays as "open gaming" and most of the tournament type events look to be held on Saturdays so we should be good unless they run out of open tables. Do any of you know if that could be a problem?

At CoastCon, me and the folks from Battlegroup Acadiana talked about getting together in Baton Rouge occasionally for a game. I've been a bit busy but started thinking about this again recently - are any of the Acadiana folks or anyone else from the area interested in getting together sometime? We ...

Kang summed up the rule questions pretty well, so I'll just add one comment about your entertaining battle report:

(an argument ensued about who got to 'be' the Enterprise... eventually it was settled by William Shatner impersonations ...

And once we have the rules for black holes, we can run the Black Hole Mania scenario. Now there was a fun one!

And those 5 hours included stops in between turns where someone would run off to the dealer room "just for a second" and occasional war stories being swapped.
