In theory a greatly simplified strategic game that allows you to run battles via FedCom (or ACTA:SF if the game survives long enough) is a nice idea. But isn't there the possibility of said new system cutting into the sales of F&E? Or might it bring in more players who don't like the complexity of ...

I'm a campaign guy, although I've been playing a lot of point-match games to teach others how to play and get used to the rules myself. It's easier to learn cloaking and plasma if you're not having to worry about any other objective other than sneaking up on an enemy and flinging fireballs at them ...

Potential Board Game Series...
As I've been working on my campaign for the 5th Klingo-Kzinti War ( http://www.starfleetgames.com/federation/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=5158 ) it has occurred to me that the system I'm building for it would actually make for a great light wargame that could be played in 1 or 2 hours. The 5th KK War ...

The Fifth Klingo-Kzinti War Campaign...
A project I'm working on for grad school has evolved into a reason for a new FC campaign and I'm building a system around using historical battles from the SFU, with each fleet from the various conflicts being set up based on the fleet lists from Federation Space. As my players are keen on Kzintis ...

Point Breakdown of Ships Systems...
I'm assuming that a ship's PV is a result of variable system costs based on hull type as well as some playtest based adjustment jiggery-pokery. Whatever the case, I'd like to know how the particular systems pan out, point wise.

It's not all replicators. Some of it is spare parts that are too hard to replicate. Some of it is switching to back up systems, or patching together parts of two systems. (For a long time, the second phone line in my house was using circuit #2 on the front half of the building and circuit #3 on the ...
