I did meet one fellow for FedCom games at Game Matrix, but he sorta fell off after a cpl games, and my regular partner for SFB moved.

I am willing to travel to Tacoma/Game Matrix (or even Olympia) for games ...

Battlecards - any way to obtain these anymore?

I know the majority of SFB players did not seem to care for these, but me and my own group love them.

SFC adjusted the available power real time based on whatever speed you choose, and what gets armed or activated, SFC power allocation has more in common with FC than it does with SFB. SFC also made no distinction between warp & impulse energy as far as I know. (at least I never noticed one)

Spray paint!

Ok, seriously, I use that joke a lot, and "Steve Cole spraypaints minis so what does he know?" has become something of a matra for Matthew over at Mongoose.

Seriously.

I do spraypaint minis, the ones we photograh for publicity. If you photograph a bare metal ship, it is bright and ...

In that time period all my Commander's Editions stuff got boxed up and put into storage along with my FASA stuff and was a memory until quite a while later when I noticed a 'Captain's Edition' basic set in a store and realized it was actually new stock/new product.

It was also in that same time ...

Yes, the trick is finding the more flexible players, and leaving the hard core SFB purists to their own devices. Fortunately the online version of the game makes that a lot easier these days but you do have to be willing to find and train new players and be flexible yourself.

Then one can simply ...

Klingon D6D - I love how cheap that ship is BPV-wise, and its low power consumption, one can really move in that ship and the multiple drone racks make for a decent firing rate.

Its a digital age variation on old tricks.

I used to work for a PC service company that did fun stuff like mark-up the price of shipping and handling on parts (above and beyond the actual UPS S&H cost) on top of their margin for the part.

As far as the price of painted minis goes, well that's fair ...

Maltz (John Laroquette in STIII), I find him worse the Rev. Jim because he gave up way too easy and was too dumb to double check the life sign readings to see that he was transporting humans aboard with no Klingons.

B'elanna Torres from Voyager. A Klingon with daddy issues, great.

The rabid young ...
