What exactly is the DNW? A modded new light cruiser with a module attached perhaps a HDW module? A Battleship saucer with a module hull? Something completely different?
I used the Emperor Class on this page as an example
http://jaynz.trekships.org/view_gallery.php?cmd=gallery_ADB.idx
I ask because I have a spare BB Saucer from the factory reject ship packs ADB sold a few years ago and was thinking of turning it into one of these. I also have some NCL's from that as well.
And after this Ill have to get on the DNM... _________________ -Ian

Well, I could not see your example photo for whatever reason, but I took a look at the SSD and reread the ship description from Module R9. The description says that it was never built, but that shouldn't stop anyone from building one.
I checked the SSD from the DNW and the NCL and they are identical, so you are probably looking at an NCL with a specially built secondary hull underneath.
On the other hand, if you have an extra BB saucer, you might create your own emergency battleship with that as the starting point. There are plenty of us with one off ships. See what you come up with! _________________ Let's get DANGEROUS!

Echoing Darkwing: The DNW is an unbuilt concept to effectively take the NCA new heavy cruiser design to the next level and make a dreadnought out of it.
Instead of a small hull module with a frigate engine added under an NCL, the DNW adds a very large module and (IIRC) two additional NCL engines (I don't have my books with me - it could be two FF engines).
Vance chose to draw it as looking very similar to the DWH module, in his drawing you linked, but there isn't enough existing official line-art to confirm that one way or another. My own take on it is that it looks more like the NCA, just with a larger added hull-module and the engines mounted on short struts to that module (or on a yoke, like the NCL's engines). _________________

Interesting. Thanks for the info!
I noticed in the drawings it has 3 port and starboard phasers, is that supposed to be that 3rd set of phaser 3's on the NCL? or is it another set of P1's like on the DNG? Also how many photons on the saucer? And I guess what weapons are in the addon hull? I don't have R9 _________________ -Ian

Couldn't tell you, without being to get at my copy of R9. I'd speculate that it went to 3 phaser-1 LS and RS though, as that is what the DNG, DNH, and BB have. _________________

And here it is basically finished. It doesn't look as mean as I had hoped haha. I kinda estimated the weapons on the whole thing. I ended up using some Tug engines I had lying around.

Looking at the SSD, I think your rear hull is too small.
I had Petrick bring me the SSD and if it doesn't get lost on my desk, it may show up in a future communique. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

Haha Thanks guys! I love building the random things that don't get much attention, so hopefully I can cook something else neat up in the future.

Thats what I was thinking too, hence it didn't look mean enough haha. It could make for a good "Fast Heavy War Destroyer" secondary hull if there ever was such a thing. But it shouldn't be too hard to add some additional structure! _________________ -Ian
