Federation Commander

Hi. I discovered the game three weeks ago through a friend, and honestly, I was hooked right away. Games rarely last more than an hour, but they can quickly drag on if you don’t manage your right flank properly. So I looked for resources and saw on a website that there’s quite a bit of content there (commander profiles, fleet synergies, stuff on rapid attack phases), but I can’t tell if it’s kept up to date or if the guys running it have abandoned the site since the last expansion. Personally, I struggle most with resource management early in the game; I get the impression that the advice I read there is from an older version and that the costs have changed. Does anyone here use ultrastrategy.com regularly? Are the guides still valid for the current meta, or have they become obsolete?
