Do these SFB rules apply in FC?

In SFB, the L and R ph-1 banks on the primary hull (aka *the dish*) of Fed ships can fire down the row of hexes directly to the rear of the ship (I assume they are firing between the nacelles). Can they do so in FC?
The above also applies to the forward phasers on some Klingon ships, like the D6/7 BC and C7 BCH. Can they do so in FC?
Also, I note that the Middle Years Klingon D7 ship card has the restriction on firing drones (only 1/turn, as in SFB) printed on it. The standard #6 ship card does not. I'm assuming a refit did away with that, or is that still the case and it just wasn't printed on the card?

FC doesn't have refits, the main game ships are their fully refitted versions, so things like a middle years ship card would probably be the un-refitted ship.

There are no special arcs in Federation Commander.
The main ones in SFB are:
- The Fed CA/CC/GSC side phasers firing down the hex row facing shield #4.
- The Gorn ships with 360 phasers on the main hull NOT being able to fire down the hex row facing shield #4.
- The weird stuff done with Klingon bow and wing phasers on the D7 (and similar) ships.
But, none of those have been translated into FC, nor are they going to be. The Klingon arcs were done as a Borders of Madness entry a while ago, but that was Borders of Madness, not FC proper.
(And, yes, the LS and RS arcs can indeed fire down the hex row immediately forward and the hex row immediately behind. But the CA/CC/GSC side phasers have LF+L and RF+R arcs, which cannot fire down the hex row immediately behind the ship.)

If I understand correctly, you can basically tell the nacelle arrangement on a Fed ship by those arcs - a ship with RS-LS arcs has a flat nacelle arrangement, like the CS, BC, and DNG. those with LF-L/RF-R have the raised nacelles.
So, essentially, all arcs in FC are as-stated, with no special cases.

Yes, and yes.

I designed FC and yes, that is a decision I made to simplify the rules and eliminate as many special cases as possible.

I think that was an excellent decision, particularly in the case of the revised/true Klingon arcs. I didn't use them because it was notoriously difficult, in some cases, to figure out if a ship was in the LOF - and far too easy (as an opponent) to wander into the danger zone by mistake!
