I am making a series of short teaching videos on FedComm. Is it okay to post the links here?

I do happen to mention a certain TV show and ship in passing.

Whoa. I can't speak for the entire forum, but I can assure you that teaching vids are most welcomed. Anything that helps bring others more seamlessly into FedComm (and the hobby in general) should be well-received.

Before posting anything Federation Commander related, it is always a good idea to first run it by Steve Cole at "design at starfleetgames dot com" or Jean (you can just PM "Jean" here on the forum). There can be hidden pitfalls, and since you aren't confident on it, please check with one of them first. They will respond fairly quickly.

Generally speaking, the more the merrier. We even give commendations for the good videos.

"Personal gaming experience" is pretty much a non-issue for copyrights, but there are clever ways to get in trouble, so sure, ask me first and let me see the video first. (Either post it somewhere private and send me the password or email me and coordinate with me so we pick a time and I go watch it the minute it goes live and you can remove it if something needs fixing.)

For FC stuff, Mike West needs to check it for rules ASAP after posting and you should be ready to remove it and fix anything he finds.

I would suggest you avoid saying anything political, anything about Paramount, or anything not essential to the video purpose.

Oh, and doing the videos to make money is decidedly uncool.

Thanks all for the responses. I'm not really interested in customizing videos for the legal formalities of this site. They will simply be on YouTube (eventually) and linked directly from the FC:KB page on BGG. Feel free to link/embed them here.
