Was just posting in my old thread on the disruptor where the conversation had flowed into phaser armed ships. This led to this thread on the Borak. I purchased the Borak on E23 and have enjoyed it quite a bit. Played it a couple of times now using the CA. To begin with, the mega-phasers on the turret really add something unique to the game. It interesting to be able to swivel them around and fire even when you're not facing the opponent. I like a ship with details and I like the addition of the table to keep track of the rotation of the turret. It can be a fast ship since you're not having to put gobs of power into heavy weapons (mega phasers are two points each). You need to keep the phaser capacitors filled, but then you need to generally do that anyway.

The phaser cannon is another interesting weapon. This makes the ship particularly dangerous for the close in knife fight. I'll have to see if their is any chit-chat about the Borak on the BBS.

I'd love to see the Borak in FC - finally, Hydran allies! Sort of.

But given ADB's current workload, it may take a while.

Maybe if you could get Gary Carney to write the rules for Borak and Peladine I'd find time to do the ships.

In the case of these two empires in particular, I'm afraid I'd have to defer to Mike West.

I was not involved in the development process for Module E3, nor that for Module E4. (I do have the older incarnation of the Peladine from SSJ1, but nothing more recent for them.)

That said, I'm led to believe that that Mike may have a few ideas on how to handle the Borak, and I understand that the Peladine need little or nothing in the way of new rules in order to be viable in FC.

Quite frankly, the rules for both are incredibly straightforward. I'll get something together shortly.
