Finished three more Klingon Ships. The C8 dreadnoughts are now complete and all that remains is the C7s and the last two FD7s.
Here are the C8s:

Very nice as usual!

I see that you are using the standard Mongoose stands?
Do you use those in normal game play?
How is the stability of the larger metal ships?
I have been worried the ships might fall off and break off the engines.

Thank you kindly.

Yep. I have about 200 hundred of them, so I may as well get some use from them.
I have bought about 100 of Bill Stec's firing arc decals and use them. I've also got the science down to an art form (or I have the art form down to a science) and have figured out how to swap ships / stands without damaging the ball or connector.
This lets me take the 100 stands with arcs and use them for any and all miniatures.
Do you use those in normal game play?
Yes, I do. You can see several pictures of games with them in use on my photobucket page. You can also see them in action in the Battle of Kh'rtis Rock AAR and in the Nashcon ACTASF Tourney AAR.
How is the stability of the larger metal ships?
Again... no problems. In order to insure stability, I have an extra Andromedan Dominator mini with the Mongoose ball-joint connector attached sittign on my work desk. I use this to test fit every stand I put together before applying the firing arc stickers. i figure that if it's stable with this massive, honkin' piece o'metal - it'll be stable with anything else.
I have been worried the ships might fall off and break off the engines.
So far, this has not been a problem. I've only broken one set of D6 engines - and that was my fault. The mini slipped while painting and as I tried to catch it, I ended up batting it across the gameroom.

They all look great, but those two C8s are really excellent.

Really great work getting all those done. I'm so looking forward to having any one faction complete. Even if it's just my five Orion ships.

We'll really have to get together and play sometime at some Con or another.

Thanks. I need to get the rest of them painted.
Over the last few weeks, I've acquired about 2 dozen more Klingons... still need a few E5s and F5Ws... and a B10 or 4.

I've also got 18 Klingon shuttles in teh works and 12 ZY fighters.

And I need a BATS mini before Origins... if only they were available.
