Is the 'K' in Kzinti silent?

I'm not sure in the SFU, but in the Animated Trek episode that they're in, they are called the kuh-ZIN (and this would probably work out to kuh-ZIN-ti, but I don't remember if they were called Kzinti or only Kzin in the episode).

I think the "K" is pronounced. (At least, I always have.)
On a completely different note,

Everyone I know pronounces the "K"...
I'm trying to think back to all of my discussions with SVC and I think he pronounces it also.

The K is pronounced. Note that we always have "Kzinti" and never, ever "Kzin". The latter is totally Larry Niven's intellectual property.
You can consider this an "official" answer.
