FedCom in Baton Rouge?

At CoastCon, me and the folks from Battlegroup Acadiana talked about getting together in Baton Rouge occasionally for a game. I've been a bit busy but started thinking about this again recently - are any of the Acadiana folks or anyone else from the area interested in getting together sometime? We talked about meeting at Little Wars one Sunday a month or so. I may be able to drag one other player from New Orleans up there as well.

I am interested, and I am sure Wedge can come if we plan in advance. I tried e-mailing some of the people on the starlist in the B.R. area a while back, but there was no response. Hopefully, they will read the board. Let me know when you are interested (dates) and I will try again.

Well, it's a nine hour / 600 mile drive; but I do have a sister-in-law living in Baton Rouge...

I'm free every Sunday in June as of now. Little Wars' web site lists Sundays as "open gaming" and most of the tournament type events look to be held on Saturdays so we should be good unless they run out of open tables. Do any of you know if that could be a problem?

I am good for June the 7th. I called Little Wars and the guy said it would be okay just to show up. They don't open up until after noon. We just need to set a time.

Cool. By "after noon" I take it that 12 is their official opening time but they don't quite get there on time every Sunday?
Shall we try 12:30 or 1?

Little Wars says that we could have one table on Saturday, June 6. How is June 6 for ya'll?
June 7 is Ok for me as well.

too bad it couldn't have been this weekend. I'm sitting in my daughter's den in Biloxi... typing this message on her computer.

Looks like we were just a week off there Scoutdad. If I didn't have the crud last weekend I'd have asked you for a game!
I haven't heard from my buddy here so it'll just be me going up Sunday.
