The Vudar are done but were never sent to casting because I am still waiting on the metal Juggy. (I have about 12 ships sitting here uncast watiing for Juggy. I am not sure if I have the metal Fed destroyer yet but if I don't, I'm still waiting for that too, and if I do, it's waiting for Juggy.)

Too cool for school!!
I can't wait for the new minis. (Actually I can if it means waiting for the highly anticipated Juggernaut and extra time to paint some more Hydrans to go against the Vudar

)
I think that I am going to go with the unconfirmed reports that the Vudar are allies of the Klingons. Sorry Scoutdad, not trying to start a stink about the Hydrans or anything, just looking for an empire for the Vudar to snuff out.

The pics of the initial sculpts on the Vudar that went up on the legacy bbs a while back looked pretty spiffy.

First off, the Vudar were a subject race of the Klingons who managed to overthrow them during the later part of the GEneral War - so you could have Vudar vs. Klingon battles.
Second, you don't need to start a stink where those methane breathing Hydrans are concerned - they do thet well enough on their own!

And I thought you were loyal to the Empire! Obviously, you have been unduely influenced by Federation propaganda trivideos. Probably too much of the FedX channel

.
Now I am not saying that parts of the Thompson-Palmer Theory are incorrect, but remember, only 30% of the Air Force tapes have been translated. In otherwords, we may not have the full picture yet. Please, do try to keep an open mind

[projecting best Hod'Kel voice]
You know that I'm loyal to whomever pays me the most!
[/Hod'Kel voice]
Although the Hydrans would be easy to overlook...
afterall - they're only 1-meter tall!!!

Now that is funny! Too bad only a privileged few have heard him say something similar.
Side note--he took it to Wedge and I tonight.
Hod'Kel--Kizinti CL
Wedge --Gorn DD
Malleman-Lyran DD

My money would have been on the Kzin CL in that one.
Too many drones for the Gorn to take out and the way that Mike plays, the Lyran and the Gorn would have already engaged and damaged each other before he committed to combat.

Actually, Hod'Kel held back the 1st turn and I got ran off into a corner running from plasma.
Wedge then went after Hod'kel, while I spent 2 turns getting back into the fight. It looked like Wedge was going to clean the board of us, but he ran out of plasma and was dronned out of play by Hod'Kel.
Hod'Kel and I then exchanged for 2 more turns. It was pretty even, but Hod'Kel had more padding to take internals and outlasted me in the end. Last turn I did 65 internals to his ship (including 20 from the ESG) and he did 53 to me. He was launching 4 drones in the launch phase and I was launching a ss shuttle with 3 pts in. Not that it made a difference since we play the short version of the DAC (no row 1, no row 2, then frame) I was going speed 8 and he was going speed 0. Not sure how much power he had left, but I was drained.
Overall, it was close and everyone had fun.

In case you haven't seen it, this is the mailbox that SVC is referring to:

Just kidding.

Is that a Zeppelin Hanger?
The Juggy and the Saladin-class destroyer, YES !!! my two most anticipated miniatures coming online in just a few months.
Count me in. I'll purchase a $20 Juggy, and 3 - 5 DDs. =D
EDIT: I forgot to mention, if the Fed. DD is released can make let Die-cast counters for them as well? Some of us needs both the mini and counter.
Edit: sorry, I meant DIE CUT. Its like when I spelled ADB, ADM or AMD or something out of lazy thought process.

The Fed DD and it's variants are in booster 91, and I'm still not sure how we're going to do counters for boosters 91, 92, 93, 94, or if we're going to do counters for them at all.
And it's DIE CUT counters. DIE CAST is metal trucks. Jeez, all I need is somebody on some gamer website to accidentally start a rumor we're going to do DIE CAST playing pieces. The last time somebody accidentally started a similar rumor I lost about a week of work dealing with the fallout.

I don't think I'd want die cast counters...they'd be way too heavy to carry around.

but, the errant soft drink spilled on teh table wouldn't have such a negative effect on them.
