Skexis brings up the fancy office with the guards at the T-intersection. Then he touches the room for more detail. "That's my guess."

Marcus says,"Perfect! Lead the way." He steps a side and lets Skexis lead the group towards the office. He follows immediately behind.

Skexis brings up a holo of the posh room.
Inside... you see the figure-in-black talking to a short business guy. There is some kind of weird object on the desk. Rokerig gasps-- "the artifact!"
Skexis is pretty sure he can take you to that location.

"OK, so short business guy is probably not an innocent bystander... And if I see that female dog that shot me, I'm gonna rip her a new one... Other than that, I suppose the security has uniforms?"
He's already scanning and covering for any activity as they head to the posh office.
"Weapons hot, if they don't run we frag 'em. Maybe even if they run, but I don't have a liking for shooting people in the back, so much..."

"That way, and then that way, and then shoot the guards," he says, a bit exasperated. They were right around the corner from the bad guys...
(I presume, the exec garage is likely to be near the exec offices...)

Marcus says,"
I have to no problem with back shooting!" He marches on with phaser set to kill, teeth gritted and fiersome stare on full power!

Skexis is moving with his back to the wall, leading with his phaser at corners. (Think Feds or cops in the movies.)

The party travels as quickly and stealthily as they can manage. You don't yet detect any immediate dangers.
You arrive at a bend in the hallway.
Skexis motions to Marcus... alerting him to the fact that the guards he saw on the holo map should be able to see the party once you all turn the corner.
Skexis guesses that they will be maybe 30 yards or so away.
How do you handle this...?

OOC: 30 yards ! that's -7 to hit.....guess its time for Marcus's to do a ferisome stare down...who knows it might work here.....nah. Any ideas? Mine is to send one guy in to bluff them or we could jsut chjarge and hope for the best.

OOC: does anyone have any (smoke or otherwise?) grenades. Marcus came unprepared.

I could try the bluff. At the worst, we'll be closer. It would probably help if had weapons hidden... (Something I dislike, but there you go...)

Captain Jack reaches in his pocket and hands Marcus an older style orion mini grey smoke grenade...
"it's not perfect, but here you go..."

[The smoke bomb will work... but... you have to describe what you do with it and what it looks like.]

OOC: what do you mean what it looks like? If we throw the smoke grenade we will not be able to see either. So perhaps we use it as a distraction and set it off around the corner. Maybe one or both will investigate and we can clobber them when they do. Thoughts?

[ooc] it's a standard single use Orion made dry chemical smoke grenade. it's about the size of a large strawberry and produces a short burst of thick Grey smoke that lasts a very short time (around 90 seconds). Visibility is reduced for around the same amount of time, and it dissipates within about 60 seconds after it's done producing. Certain types of Orion citizens use these for a quick get away, short burst of smoke to enable an escape. Others use them in ventilation shafts to get a burst of confusion. Manufacturing quality varies and these times are estimates. Captain Jack keeps a few in his many vest pockets due to the need to make a quick get away at times...[/ooc]
