Ok, Mojo gets pink
Ericphillips, you are up to bat. You want the far left olive looking spot, or the upper right gray haired spot? Andromedan gets the one you don't want.

I'll take the center black area.
Ok, if I can't do that, then the tan(?) area on the middle left of the map is the home of the Kzinti/Frax Unified Zone.
That leaves Paul in the grey, upper right.
Game On!
Update: Looks like I will be fighting a lot of Tholians and Hydrans. LOL

Alright! Time to submit to me your initial fleets/defenses, etc. Please email these to me using the spreadsheet I posted earlier.

I have one question: Could I fly just one ship, not affiliated to anyone else, and just roam around the galaxy? maybe an extra-galactic threat, like the juggernaught. The Masters would find that most amusing I think. Merely asking because it's something i can manage in my scheduel, whereas a full campaign is not.

Piney:
be a captain and take some of the battles for others. Garett's helping that way.

Ok, I have Eric's fleet builds, need 5 more. Also note that I have a new email address in my profile. My cableone address was having problems, and yahoo isn't always nice to me, so I am trying gmail for a while

.
Pinecone, we can certainly use you (and others) as a fleet captain for upcoming battles.

I see that battles last max 20 turns, but what sort of map is to be used - fixed, floaty or location?

Also just to clarify, when you say scout BOM rules are in, do you mean the rules from hydran attack?

The Special Sensor rules are the ones found here:
http://www.starfleetgames.com/federatio ... _Rules.pdf
The map will be location if there is a planet/moon/pulsar in the zone, if it's open space or something else (nebula, asteroids), use floating.

I find it interesting but not surprising that nobody chose Romulan or Gorn even as a secondary empire.

Similar to what happened in the FCOL Tourney, too.

I think if enveloping plasma comes back, then the rom/gorn are more appealing. But time will tell

I took hydran simply as they are my usual empire, but I wasn't thinking about the rules for the campaign, If I'd Thought about it a bit more I'd have quite possibly taken romulan or gorns as my primary (never mind secondary).
All forces retreat after 20 turns, to the zone they moved from, what if one force didn't move and were in the zone to start with?
Full floating map, mm that makes it easy to force an attacker retreat - just fly away and after 20 turns the attacker has to fall back.

The fleet that did not move there but was occupying would still have to retreat after 20 turns. Unless you had some kind of fixed defenses there.
Well, sure, you could run on an open map and force the retreat, but both sides will still have to leave without fixed defenses there. The Overseer may get grumpy and start destroying things if this goes on excessively. Also note that while two sides may be pulling this trick several turns in a row, their neighbors will be happily gobbling up resources and territory...
