How do ESG interact with bases - do they take a point of damage then the planet they are on, or can they not be hit by such weapons (as the planet absorbs it)?

If they can be hit, what hex sides are hit by an ESG blast, just the single directly facing one, or 3 sides (that would be FA/FH and able to fire back)?

Ground bases (or anything on a planet or moon) is not harmed in any way by an ESG impacting the planet or moon. The energy is dispersed over too large of an area.

On a related note, if you ever somehow have a base with ESGs on a planet or moon, the ESGs may only be used in Defensive or Anti-Hellbore modes. It cannot be used in Offensive mode.
