Marcus eyes the tellerite wandering away. When he gets to a distance that MArcus is comfortable knowing he isn't going to get sucker punched he wanders closer to Captain Jack. Standing immediately to the right of Jack he eyes the Hildarian trying to to look intimidating.

Marcus Kane...

Are you flashing your patented fiersome stare at the Hilidarian?

Or is this just ambient intimidation...?

For now it's ambient. If the conversation starts going south then he will lay on the charm.

He slides a sketch across the table.

"A friend of mine actually attracted an unusual amount of... attention recently.... Can you believe it...? Ressspectable archeologistsss, too."

The sketch... is a bad copy of the one that was aired on the news... the one made from the description given by the woman Captain Jack phasered at X'al Fen's apartment...!

"That is interesting... what was he after that would have attracted so much attention? Any idea who would want what he was finding?"

Skexis:
One of the cat-girls... (she said her name was Mistie... with hearts instead of dots over the i's)... she takes you by the arm and drags you back to her booth. "Come on, Skex... things were just getting warmed up." She orders another round of drinks.

Captain Jack:
The Hilidarian says, "that's funny... I was going to asssk you if you knew anything yourssself...." He starts drumming his fingers on the wall behind him in a nonchalant or idol manner.

"Curiouser and Curiouser... I'm fascinated why would you think I would know what's going on. That and I feel that you know something I probably should know. So what say you?"

He looks at you through slitted eyes... and leans in closely.

"I wasss you wasn't it? You killed him, didn't you? You're coming after me next, aren't you...?!"

"Not sure what you're talking about, but if you need protection, I happen to know a group of freelancers that are currently available for protection."

He laughs... then says... "you sssmell funny, pink-skin."

Captain Jack chuckles back, "I do smell funny, I think it's all the stuff I drink. So what do you think? Me and my mates here stick around you and watch from trouble and try to get to the bottom of this situation. Fred here is our man to work out the fiscal details, however, I see a genuine opportunity here."

"You sssmell allright... but maybe not so much like a cold blooded killer. I'll tell you what. Another asssociate of mine appears to have skipped town. I trust him even less than I trust you. He might know ssomething. Bring him to me... here. He's a local; a nomad. He goes by the name... Rocky.

"If you do that, we can talk more about this offer of yours...."

"Where can we find this Rocky? Describe him."
