Captain Jack scans the room for any Mynieni or Hilidarian as he enjoys his food and drink and also listens in on the conversation with the Cygnan.

Skexis:
The ladies have just gotten into port. They are looking for some local color and what to know what you think they should do while in town....

[Area Knowledge 11 or less, Carousing 12 or less, Streetwise 9 or less... and a reaction roll with bonuses for any success on the previous rolls. (3d6=15, 3d6=6, 3d6=15, 3d6=10)]

Hmm.... You don't provide them with any of the information that they are looking for right off here. Maybe they travel in different circles than you do. You are a blast to hang with, though. You order all the right drinks and tell all the right anecdotes-- whatever it is that carousing people like to talk about, you are all over it. You party hardy... and buy them drinks all around.

Marcus Kane:
The inebreated Tellarite stumbles back for a moment and eyes you up and down. "You got something you wanna say to me you depiliated baboon?"

Fred:
The Cygnan babe says, "well... I was supposed to meet... well... uh... never mind. This isn't my usual haunt, if you know what I mean."

[Sex Appeal, 20 or less ... critical success on 6 or less... (It's 16, +4 for appearance.) Will roll for target at unknown level. (3d6=11, 3d6=8 )]

Oh my. You appear to have her attention. She's laughing at all your jokes.

While all of this is happening, the sports program is interrupted with more reports on the missing Galactic Survey Cruiser. The Black Nebula guys are furious and start throwing things at the holo-vid.

Good grief! A Hilidarian [Klingon subject race, big lizard dudes] has just walked in and has gone up to the bar.

[Perception roll... 14 or less. (3d6=13)]

You're pretty sure the Hilidarian is asking about something to do with you guys.... At any rate, the bar tender has looked in your direction a couple of times while the guy has talked to him.

Captain Jack looks at the Hildarian and tries to recognize him, to see if he is the one he saw the night Tarsh was killed.

He also starts to get ready and alert for an incident.

Captain Jack:

[IQ roll, 13 or less... (3d6=8 )]

You are pretty sure that's the same one. They all look alike... but this guy has an unusual red-stripe scale pattern.

He gets a booth by himself... that just so happens to positioned such that he can keep an eye on you.

Captain Jack alerts the others, tells them about the unusual sighting on the night Tarsh was killed and asks Skexis is that's sort of the thing he saw leaving X'al Fen's apartment....

"Skexis, check out the Hildarian over there... does he match the size/shape of the thing from X'al Fen's roof?"

He will offer the babe dinner, "Since it's a shame for someone as beautiful as you to be stood up. His loss, most certainly. And while it's not either of our our 'usual haunts', I for one am quite glad I decided to dine here tonight."

He will see if he can't get another table for the two of them. After Jack gives him a heads-up (BTW, I don't have a clue about this part), he tells her, "It's possible I might need to depart on business quickly. I appologize, such short notice for dinner has left me a bit unorganized, but if that does happen, I would be pleased to see you again. I hope you don't hold it against me as if I made a date with you and broke it..." He smiles at her.

Marcus gives his trade mark Fearsome stare. Not saying a word.

Captain Jack calls Marcus' attention: "Marcus! I need you to cover me, stop playing around with the Tellarite, I'm going to do something stupid. Skexis, come with me..."

"This Hildarian might be the clue we seek for our current mystery, or he might be a bounty hunter looking for a certain Orion privateer, either way, I can't afford to let him slip out of our fingers."

Once he has Marcus' attention, Captain Jack mutters some Klingon fable about being aggressive instead of a coward, and gets up, ready to quick drawl his phaser, extremely alert, and starts to walk over to our Hildarian "friend."

Encyclopedia Galactica wrote:The Hilidarians are the second most fierce species in the Klingon Empire ground forces. Strong, cunning, and amphibious, they are natural marines. They prefer to go on all fours when they are in a hurry.

Marcus Kane:
Oh yeah...

[Intimidation-14 vs. Will-12 (3d6=7, 3d6=15)]

The Tellerite has quietly wandered out the door....

Skexis stands up and watches Jack and the Hilidarian, bunching his muscles to move quickly. He doesn't want to move away from the ladies' table just yet though.

Captain Jack addresses the Hilidarian:

"Yes, the weather today was pleasant. I'm certain that I know you from somewhere, were you Keldek from the archeological dig on Klardon a few years back?"
