Stock squadrons would eliminate "min-max'ing" based on one oddball ship that is way too effective for the points.storeylf wrote:If you move the tourney to stock squadrons and provide those laminated (done manually if needed) at the tournaments then that issue will go away. It is after all a tourney specific rule, so just change it.
Tournament play actually improves with standardization as the ability to replay the same combinations repeatedly refines the tactics.
