Correct. ADB has often said they don't care about that.Technically speaking there's nothing stopping a customer from archiving their things electronically with their own equipment.
Now, if it should "accidently" migrate over to your friend's computer, THAT would be a problem. Especially if your "friend" never bought his own hard-copy of said products. (If he bought the PDFs, why would he need your version?)
