Will there be a max of two Briefings per year, or can the number be altered depending on how they fare?

I would rather have Hydran Attack come out first, since it is already being worked on. I don't want War & Peace to be rushed, it's better to have it go through all the phases of playtesting and rule making. I'd rather wait a year and buy a well done product, rather then wait a few months and buy a product which may have some problems.

If Hydran Attack comes out this year, and W&P the next, would it be possible to get some playtest ISC and Andromedan ships in a future Communique to tide us over? That way we can put the year to good use.

Also, what races would be featured in Hydran Attack besides the Hydrans? Lyrans? Klingons? Thanks!

Amen, Brother! This is what I've been advocating since the proposed schedule was announced. Andros - ISC - and Vudar... Oh My! That's a lot of new races adn rules to work the bugs out of.

Booster Zero had paytest ISC ships in it. Here's a link to the forum discussion containing the PPD rules.
Vudar play test rules dn ships are in the most recent Communiques (#35), in case this is being viewed after #36 comes out...
That'll at least get everyone started. :wink:

Yes... the focus was on those three races.

We can do as many breifings (and as many borders of madness) books in a year as we have good ideas for.

Hydran attack has the
Hydran RN, IRQ, TAR, DWH, DWF, LN, HN, PGC
Lyran NCA, CL, DW
WYN FF, AxCA
Klingon F5W
Kzinti FFK
One ship/monster yet to be selected
Booster cards not selected other than Lyran BC.

sorry for the bother but could anyone fill me in on what the Hydran ships are from the list:
"Hydran attack has the
Hydran RN, IRQ, TAR, DWH, DWF, LN, HN, PGC"

I know the RN is the ranger and the TAR is the tartar and the LN is the lancer.but not sure want the names and relative class of the other ships on the list. Thanks for the help!

Colour Sergeant Bourne: It's a miracle.
Lieutenant John Chard: If it's a miracle, Colour Sergeant, it's a short chamber Boxer Henry point 45 caliber miracle.
Colour Sergeant Bourne: And a bayonet, sir, with some guts behind.

RN = Ranger
IRQ = Iroquois (Hellbore NCA)
TAR = Tartar (Hellbore CM)
DWH = hellbore DW
DWF = fusion DW
LN = Lancer
HN = Hunter
PGC = Pegasus CL

So, you were right on your guess, and that is the rest.

Here are some suggestions for possible booster ships:
- Hydran Cheyenne NCA
- Hydran Lord Marshall CC
- Kzinti DD
- Lyran DND
- Lyran CAL
Any of the weird monstrosities produced by the WYN. In particular, everyone's favorite: the PBB!

I second the suggestion for the Lyran DND (I always wanted a mini of that one - and could be persuaded to produce one) and the WYN PBB. With everyone else having Battleships, the WYN need thier Pocket Battleship!!!!

Greetings,

I am so looking forward to Hydran Attack! Do you know if the minis will be available at the time of the expansion release?

That IS the plan, but then, there aren't a lot of new minis involved. Pegasus and maybe F5W (if we don't just use the F5).

Wasn't the Pegasus the PF Tender? Or am I a bit out-of-date?

There's a direct-combat version of the Pegasus that was brought into the game later.

For Boosters, how about the PBB and the AxDN for WYN?
