All right, how bout a Klingon commando cruiser? And an ISC one for that matter! We'll probably have to wait for a Starfleet Marines Attack expansion to complement the up and coming Starfleet Marines coming out. Either way, there is some really good stuff on the horizon! :D

leathernsteel, remember that the Communiques are free and can be downloaded from the Commander's Circle. :) You should be able to add many scenarios and ships to your collection fairly easily using those.

There's also lots of ships listed by empire as well; many, many ships are listed in the Commanders' Circle in addition to those in the Communique. This is a resource-rich website :)

Thank you for the tip! I have access to a high end digital color copier and laminator from work. I can use that to get the communique ships ready for action in short order. I'm still planning to get more FC stuff after I've rebuilt my SFB module collection.

I'm just so excited about the Starfleet Marines that is coming out in about a month that my opinion drifts in that direction. Those marines are going to need transport and support in order to keep 'em in the fight!

The Vudar were originally another Klingon slave race... but due to the needs of the General War, they were able to semi-rebel.

Most (if not all) of the Klignon slave races probably dream of freedom/independance from their overlords - but are unable to obtain that freedom before the Klignons come in and "bomb them back to the stone age".

The Vudar manged it, albeit in an unusual manner. As I understand it (and i could be wrong) - They [the Vudar] manged to obtain their quasi-independant state late in the GW, while the Klingons had their hands full dealing with other things. Of course, the Vudar also took a large portion of Hydran territory, as well. To the benefit of the Klingons, this served to narrow the war-front they needed to fight against the Hydrans. This allowed a greater concentration of ships in a smaller area.

The Vudar (in SVC's words) function as a Klingon satrap. The Vudar pay a portion of their income to the Klingons, function as a Klingon puppet-state, keep the Hydrans occupied, and pretend to be an independent state; when in truth, the Klingons could easily move in and eradicate the entire Vudar fleet.

that's the Vudar in a nutshell [until SVC comes in and tells me I have it all wrong!]

So they pretended to be independent by "working with" the Klniks rather than being ordered around by them. Hmm, okay. Fair enough I guess, the price of freedom is high.

IIRC the Vudar are in a high radiation zone (not as bad as the wyn), but are resisitant to it --- so it's not a place the Klingon's would settle ---
