I think this would be less of an issue at all if the controller of the drones had any control, but he doesn't.

If we assume you have 20 points of ESG damage to assign amongst 11 drones...

you could do this:

It shifts the burden of planning onto the player who wishes to truly benefit from using EM, where previously the mere threat of EM was enough to place this burden (which is a problem of anticipation really) on the opposing player.

Thanks for the numbers, Paul - but I'm not sure how much mileage there is in this kind of comparison.

Don't forget Disruptors and to a lesser extent Hellbores (not to mention Photons) tend to feature in large numbers, being also seen on small ships, where PPDs seem very much equivalent to S-torps ...

I honestly have no problem with treating each pulse which hits as belonging to a separate volley (although I would like to see the first such pulse count in the same volley as any other weapons fired by the PPD-owning ship that impulse); the ability this might give the target to reinforce against ...

I don't like the idea of resolving fire from a PPD over multiple impulses; it seems contrary to the "simpler is better" philosophy of FC.

I'm strongly in agreement with a prohibition on PPDs using Directed Targetting, not least because Hellbores have the same issue.

Thanks. I'm slightly disappointed because I hoped it would be a restriction which only applied to the Fusion which fired on the same turn (that's how it reads to me), but there you go. :?

A question just occurred to me... is the limit on re-arming a Stinger Fusion applied per weapon, or per fighter? What is the last "it" in rule 5Q2d:
