ACTASF 1.2 Plasma rules
Do I have the following correct? Plasma torpedoes fired in seeking mode roll one die per torpedo. So, for a plasma S fired at 8" range at the side of a target with a max speed of 12" and no other modifiers, the to-hit is 3+. On a 1-2, the torpedo misses, and no damage is caused. On a roll of 3-6 the ...

Starbases
While the Battle Station in ACTA seems a bit plain, I've been pondering rules for Starbases that would make them more than just a bigger version of the Battle Station. While not invincible, a Starbase should have impressive combat abilities on its own, and be able to support and provide protection ...

After Action Report
I lost. We had exactly 5 people so we didn't need to substitute ships. We played the scenario from Klingon Border, which starts the battle with the alliance players at 15 hexes from the Juggernaut, instead of the Captains Log scenario which starts with the alliance players at 25 hexes.

Well, I volunteered. I've got CL #41, and one thing still confuses me. The rules say the rotating shield cannot be reinforced. Does this mean that you allocate power to the shield at the beginning of the turn and can't add any more during the turn, or just that you can't use power up to the # of ...

I think B#2 is what is meant. PDFs of Module Prime Alpha (for Prime Directive) and Klingon Armada ship record sheets are already on sale. AFAIK no FC products are available as PDFs yet. IDK why B2 is being chosen, unless it is because it didn't sell that well as hardcopy and ADB is unlikely to be ...

I wonder if the ISC booster will give some people the idea (or reinforce it) that the booms are the engines and that the ships are "backwards" since the other fleets are presented as flying towards the viewer. I know a few people that thought that after seeing the minis without seeing the SSD in ...

I've played this scenario both in SFB (long time ago) and in FC, and recall the SFB battle felt more 'balanced'. In FC, the default KR is the same as the SFB KRB which has reinforced shields and plasma S torpedos. In the SFB scenario the KRs do not have refits, and so have plasma Gs and the weaker ...

Hey, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one in the area interested in it. I've been checking the Games Plus site daily waiting to see if they've gotten it yet.marcus_aurelius wrote:Thanks for the info! I will be sure to screen the old counters to be sure

I think the problem is that once the rules are in an electronic form, someone will post them somewhere and then the cat is out of the bag - there's no way to pull them back. Given that it has been pointed out that the majority of Fed Commander material is downloadable except the rules, ADB would be ...
