Well, since I only have 2010, I have started a base setup scenario using the setup for The WInd in my rulebook. I think I am going to attemp the whole general war thing, but I could not find a counter for the Fed CVL. Is it hidden somewhere, or not in the game? I have figured out all the rest of ...

If you are going to make an open- ended starter scenario, the one I want to see is a Fed/Klingon one-on-one war. Not the two-turn silliness presented in a CL a long time ago, but rather a full, open war involving just the two empires. No, that is not "historical". However, it would be interesting ...

You're in luck! I usually don't check these forums, but I just happened to swing by.

First off, what's giving you trouble at the moment? Getting the module going, how to play F&E in general... or the fun interface between the two?

If it's the first, check the html file that was included with ...

It should be noted that the various 'Geek sites make extensive use of wikis. The Description and More Information boxes on each product page is its own wiki page, that can be changed by any user (there are certain things that they're usually looking for, like the relationship with other games and ...

Exactly right. Just remember that all of this is based off of TOS (which ADB has a license for), not TNG (which they don't, and can't get), and originally, speed equaled warp factor cubed times the speed of light (what was given above).

The original impetus for the change came from Gene Roddenberry ...

The main problem with a Master Scenario Book is that the original two scenario books sold poorly. In fact they still have stock from the original printings, 15 years ago.

I believe that the project after the Master Ship Book is the Master SSD Book.

You can see ocasional work on the MSB here ...

Woo! Attack of the frigates!

(At least, I assume that's a pair of Sea Hawks....)

I'm not sure I really like the mottled hull-plate look on the Fed FF myself, but it's not as if I'm really going to notice it while looking at the picture....

Ah, yes, I'd forgotten that.

FC history seems a bit looser than SFB history (with all those extra fun battleships running around. :)), but that is still possible in straight SFU history.

F&E shows one CS in the Home Fleet in Y168. There are two more in mothballs (I believe I remember that they're ...

F&E doesn't see a difference between the 'E's and 'R's.

Also, The way escort groups work changed ~'90-93 (Captain's Edition SFB and Deluxe Edition F&E). As I recall, the [CVS+DDE+2xFFE] group used to be the standard in early F&E, but would be a (legal) 'overstuffed' group today, and not common.

As ...

Since you're interested in the 6th Fleet's status on the Day of the Eagle, I'll point out that the current F&E Order of Battle is available on-line here:

There's no names given there, and ships sent to it after the Klingon invasion aren't ...

Very true. I'm thinking at least partially in "F&E mode" where that non-SSD difference is quite pronounced. (CVBs are expensive!)

The CVS and CVB are pretty much the same ship. The CVB's hangar is slightly larger, which allows it to operate F-15s.

CB: Yes. Only the CS and BC have the lowered engines that allow the 180 arcs.

CVS: If you mean the RH phasers, yes. Though it would be more accurate to say it never had them (than 'lost' them) as those are a refit not applied to the CVS/CVB. It does keep the ph-3 360s.

Yeah, I know I could do it reasonably easily, I've just never gotten around to it. I'd probably just build them from scratch in CorelDraw, rather than do all the transcribing steps. Probably make a couple standard shield templates, and standard arc templates. My problem is that I'd want to make an ...
