Personally, I would say the Plasma-Ds are still turreted. As I recall, the Plasma-Ds are basically drone frames with a plasma warhead, so I don't see why you couldn't leave them turreted.

I've done some playtesting using a pair of Armed Cutters, and while they are VERY fragile, if one ignores them ...

The Corsec stems already have o-rings.

Well for the record, I strongly prefer the ball and socket type. I won't attach bases to my ships, for this greatly complicates storage and transfer.

I converted my civilian ships over to Corsec bases, and I like them despite the high cost per ship, but they have one problem: If one uses my firing ...

The vibe I have gotten is that PFs are already on the "going to happen" list. It's not a question of funding them - there seems to be enough pent-up interest from the SFB crowd to make them happen.

Maybe so, but if Steve can get the molds/masters Kickstarter'ed, it saves him a bunch of money ...

Steve,

It occurs to me that it might be an interesting experiment to get some experience with Kickstarter before Tribbles and Klingons, and see if some people would be willing to Kickstart a miniatures project or two?

If you need to do 6 prototypes per mold to make masters, what about this idea ...

Just to clarify. I was not asking for the bases to be at the same scale as the ships. Not practical for gaming. Just suggesting that they should be bigger, more impressive. Specially with the larger 2500's it seems odd to me that a Starbase looks HALF the size of a CA.

There are bases out there ...

I want to say thank you Steve for your agreement with Matt about the Mongoose Infantry. I'm glad we of the MI weren't left out in the cold as it were.

I will have to take that into account and say sure, I'll run more demos as I can at conventions. I had a hunch that Mongoose would do the right ...

I am NOW officially collecting ideas as to what the first ADB 2500s will be. Anybody got a request? (I mean, other than finishing the Book One ships.)

Kzinti FFB (4-engined frigate)+stats
Kzinti DD (if sufficiently different looking to warrant it)+stats
Klingon D17+stats
Heavy War Destroyers (if ...

Jean, I'm not complaining about the compensation ADB gives for demo games (both companies paid in credits by the way, not cash); I was merely explaining why I did the majority of my demo events with Mongoose. $40 in credit buys alot more miniatures than $5 in credit does. I hope that doesn't sound ...

Have faith, my friends.

ADB is now putting the wind in the sails of the minis and things *will* improve, in very short order.

Bill Stec - I know Jean is putting energy into making the Starfleet Rangers program a more going concern. I've never looked into it, but there aren't any promises of ...

Understood. I didn't think you had much, if any, influence over what Matt does. I just figured you ought to know what was happening.

I'm honked off about it enough that I'm debating whether I even want to run any more demo events to promote the game, given how we Mongoose Infantry have been treated ...
