Wil, in my opinion, you did everyone concerned with this venture a big favor.

Having followed some of the other threads on the 2500 line, I've noticed that you are a very active contributor - and I choose that word particularly - not merely a participant. You contribute your time, effort, and ...

Until Wil posted that image in his last post, on the Starfleet Games BBS:

This family of Fed designs is growing on me... Simple and compact, there's a nice logic to their layout.

Very nice! I'd prefer to see a 'pointy' bow, but that's about all I'd change, aesthetics-wise. Thanks for posting these!

That does look better, well done to all involved! Great to see that this project is using customer feedback as a positive part of the creative process. A camel may be a horse designed by a committee, but I think we're producing some thoroughbreds here!

One minor point - shouldn't the windows on the ...

Second time, but who's counting??

Thanks to all for the comments so far. Yes, thus do all garage kit makers go this way, I know, having briefly followed a similar path many moons ago.

djdood - I won't criticise you for preaching to the choir, for the sake of the fact that you can't know that I'm a qualified graphic designer myself ...

"While that might be true...remember that the SFU can't use that bit of info."

Fear not, I'm not suggesting changes that bring the design closer to the 'canon' TV design, merely pointing out another difference from the SFU vessel to the TV ship. No rear-firing photorp on the SFU design.

Thanks Iain, but - without wishing to hijack my own thread, I just took a look at Pomroy Productions site, and found this:

"Due to increasing time constraints, Pomroy Productions will cease operations on Saturday, September 17, 2011. All orders placed between August 21, 2011 and September 17, 2011 ...

Decals for Starline 2500 - Does anyone know of any plans?

Hello all,

Firstly, I hope I'm posting in the right place here... apologies to the forum if I'm not.

I consider myself a dab hand with a paintbrush, but I really want to go to town on my 2500 fleet(s), and that's going to require decals.

Having been off the radar SFB/Trek miniatures-wise for a ...

One could shorten the pylons slightly, (depending on how they attach to the engineering hull) to get them a little closer to the image djdood posted. (You're quite right, djdood, I hadn't noticed that.)

Mind you, we could argue that the SFU Connie class is not the exact same ship as the Trek ship ...

I was considering just doing Feds for myself with the 2500 miniatures; there's already two Klingon players in my little group. But seeing this... I'd be a fool fighting in a burning house to resist!

And WHY have I returned? Scroll back up to the images at the top of this ...
