Where can Rangers pass on ideas to improve the games?

I have talked with several gamers about ADB games and Fed Com specifically. The ideas they put forward were really good and wanted to share them with ADB.

Idea #1
Have a phone app that will do SSD damage for each ship. Privateer Press has been doing this for years with War Room. Just put in the ...

I would love to know which stores in what areas are carrying ADB products if we have that information. The two stores that I knew of in our area that carried product which one closed (complete and total mismanagement) and the other cleared out all Star Trek related items to make room for more ...

This weekend will be the first full test of my "academy" training set up. Today, the main parts of the first three missions will be placed into a word file in order for proof reading before this Sunday's first dice rolls. I will post some pictures and a break down on how things go. Plus when I have ...

I think that's a great approach to teaching the game. It reminds me of the tutorial missions in the old Starfleet Command computer games.

That kind of what I am shooting for. I should have two people other than myself that will be able to run the academy missions and campaign so it will not just ...

Starting an training academy for FC at my FLGS

I started work on my "Academy" for new players last weekend. Was able to teach someone with no gaming experence at all the basics of power regulation, movement and basic shooting in under two hours. They are now able to put of a good fight against an experenced player.

The "Academy" starts with ...

I completely agree that the reason I love FC is that there is very little clutter. One of the owners if the store was watching a game of FC and was wondering where all the counters were and admazed on how fast turns were. This is the reason that my SFB stuff has sat in my closet for years now going ...

During my breaks at work I will throw something together. Just a quick outline and the key points. Movement was the hardest for me so I will start there.

For some people they just can think on a hex map. I print out the template a long time ago when I started learning. But quick did I find out the hex system is much more precise and better for this type of game. After a couple of quick games most people get the hang of it.

One think I was thinking ...

Thank you for such a quick reply. This will help out greatly with our new gamers and getting them into the FC. I found the hardest thing in getting people into this game was that when you say that all you need to learn is on the website for free and just print it out. When they do that they have a ...

I am going to start demos and an "academy" at my FLGS in a month or so. This is a great idea and want to do the same thing for our gamers. Where did you get the printing done and how much did it all cost?

Getting in as many games as I can vs many players and solo games. Doing this since I am a SR and will be running some upcoming demo games at The Basement Games. Josh is one of the store owners and he is really into getting a league going.

So, my plan is to have plenty of the common vessels in the ...

My comment was stating as a base speed. I do understand that most vessels can hit 32 but at a high cost. That high cost of dealing with plasma torps is a great tactic since it can push an enemy vessel many hexs out of position. If someone gets within 1 impulse of a plasma armed vessel under 24 they ...

I have found that the use of plasma is more of a tactic than a weapon. I know that sounds odd but here me out. Plasma at speed 32, while it is the fastest object in the game it is more useful to make an opponent wear themselves down while you do you sniping with phasers. With the option of bolting ...
