JAC Games in Akron Ohio has a forum too. Not the most active, so anything you guys post will probably get a bit of attention. I saw some guys from this forum talk about playing there, but the posts were years old and I couldn't get in touch with them.

Anyway....

Just for the record, I won't be switching. I am playing the Federation in protest of this rule, which I consider to be idiotic. The Federation had the absolute worst win/loss record in the last tournament and yet, the 2nd highest premium? Having a rule to prevent the "best race" is actually in my ...

Well, to be honest, one of the things that keeps me kinda out of FCOL games is that they usually want to be using Skype or something (it's now even recommended in the tournament rules). I really don't like voice chat at all. I'm a bit hearing impaired so I'm constantly asking people to repeat ...

Excellent! I'm enjoy Federation Commander a lot and I find it's much easier to find players on FCOL then try to "grow" some locally.

See, I find that funny. I almost never see any FCOL people in there. I see a lot of SFB from time to time, but almost no one in the FC waiting area. Every once in a ...

Enough time has lapsed since the start of the last tournament to justify a new one starting. If the old one keeps going, so be it. If not, so what?

Just go ahead and start another one.

Just a question that popped into my head.

While I know it's highly unlikely, almost nearly impossible unless of course, it was happening to me.....

Let's say that while rolling the DC*10 for a crippled ship at the start of a new round, you somehow... explode?

Do you re-do it, or is that ship now ...

Will there be blood wine?

I've gone the last 2 years, but I don't know about this year. It will depend on my employment situation. I'm hoping for a big change (but that may mean I'm not elligible for vacation time).

Noga?

I'm trying to get a job in the Westlake area, and if that happens, I'll probably be moving out that direction. Wouldn't be till February if that happens though.

Well, I know the topic is kinda old.... Any of you guys still playing?

I live over in Stow. Might be nice to have a few local players.

I am looking for more players in the Cleveland area.

Oh, nevermind. If I knew it didnt matter, I wouldn't have bothered.

That said, does the low toner version really save that much toner vs someone just using draft mode on their printer?

Can you tell us a little more about how you made the map? (What you did, where you printed it, etc?)

Been looking for something like that since I went to Megahex (I used to love the color map they had for the 1/2in counters and missed not having it on MH).

Well, we did read that article on how to manuver so you could avoid the drones. The problem is, the way I see that, it's not so much a "tactic" as it is relying on a "game mechanic". If that's really what the Feds have to resort to when playing a drone race, that should say something.

Just having ...

Like I've been saying, in tourney espeically, the Kzinti are overpowered due to the limited options against drones in FC vs. SFB.
