regarding the fast ships. I've tried plugging the numbers into the various calculators available at mj12's starmada forum and the points difference for adding a point of "engine" is very minor (IIRC we're talking about 10 points on a ship that's almost 300 points to begin with, so just a few percent ...

sounds like fun! Can you share a bit about how your campaign system works? Sources of inspiration?

Well from how I read it, you need to use the shuttles as transports in order to be able to control them yourself, since the suicide shuttles are classified as seekers and will be very limited in how you can move them.

The idea is to build a screen of shuttles and after drones are launched you can ...

I definitely think turning to avoid drones is in many cases an over reaction, and in many cases a poor choice for a fed player. With feds typically having a shield level of 3 or better on their front facets, each drone flight if simply allowed to hit it's target, will thus on average cause 1 point ...

I've only played 3 games so far, but at least for the small games I've played (1 or 2 minis per side) the feds really want to just close and fire those photons. A technical detail that helps them out a lot in practice is to try and get that firing arc overlap on the phaser-1s. Many fed ships like ...

From my understanding your two movement orders are both legal.

Yes drones launch/move like fighters, the restriction to how many you can launch is in the rules and is based on the size of the ship (number of hull boxes)

just as a bit of customer feedback, I'm a lot more likely to pay $20 for a book containing only trekmada stuff, than a 10 CL each only containing a tiny bit of trekmada stuff. This would of course be different if I played the other ADB games.

Currently it's kinda hard to get some of the "only available along with mini X,Y and Z in this and that box deal" models without also getting models you're not able to field yet in Klingon Armada. Is the plan to release the rest of the Klingon ships in CL or will there be another "something armada ...

I'd say it depends on the situation.

The scenario where shooting at drones is the most attractive is when they're in close range and about to hit you through a facet where your shields are down and the enemy is at long range with strong shields.

Under these (extreme) conditions a phaser-1 ...

Klingon Armada ships in CL41

From the table of contents available in the online store I can see CL41 contains ships for Klingon Armada, can someone tell me which ships?

today I played a short CA vs. D7 duel, with the D7 winning convincingly. My tactic was rather boring though. Basically I just sat still doing evasive maneuvers letting the CA come to me. I only moved a tiny bit forward with P+S and S+P orders to avoid giving my opponent a chance to bring all 6 ...

thanks for the tip. I'm still not really sure how this is supposed to work. When I search for "saber dance" I get a lot of superficial references and a few SFB/FC details. I don't know SFB/FC at all, so that may be part of the problem. I guess what I need is an overview description of what the saber ...

So does anyone have insight into how best to stay out of short range of photons torpedos with the klingons?

I've just played a few games so I'm still very green, but so far it seems difficult to win with the klingons against feds. So far we've had an initial wave of drones while the feds close as ...
