That is covered in 5.4 of the base rules, not in the drone section. Being that drones are a variant of fighters, they use all the base rules except where noted in F6 "Core Rule Modifications: Drones".

I played my first day of my campaign. Two of my gaming buddies and myself are playing a generic "expand and destroy" campaign using the Klingons, Feds and the Kzinti. Actually went pretty smoothly, and we were able to get in 18 campaign turns before we had to call it a night.

No combats took place ...

It most certainly is an over reaction, yet I sometimes bank on it.

Were you using the shuttles in Boarding Pod mode or Suicide mode? I hadn't thought of it, but it sounds like it'd be fun to try to pull off.

I've just started a campaign game with a couple of friends, and I've been playing the Kzinti. The Feds are a mean customer, if they get close, but as the Kzin, throw enough drones in their way and chances are you get out of those photon arcs when they turn to let their phasers deal with the drones ...

Has anyone played any campaigns (excluding day one mini) with KLA or RA yet? If so i'd love to hear how they went. I'm looking at starting a home brew in the next week using KLA as source.

I see, I can live with that. I might end up ruling that during campaign play, drone flights are reloaded between battles just so I don't have to deal with the fiddly bits of reloading.

A phaser 1 at long range shooting at a drone flight needs to roll a 6 to make a hit, which I don't think is that ...

I actually like the new drone rules, even if they seem like they are a bit more powerful. The one thing I'm not sure about, depending on if I read it correctly, is the number of flights you have.

The way I read it is that if your Kzinti BC has for drone racks, that means you have 4 drone flights ...
