I am looking forward to the release of Federation Admiral. I have a question, maybe someone knows? Does it include a system to resolved battles without using SFB/FC. VBAM has a system to resolve combats like this so it is done fast. This would for me mainly be for those not so grand battles you want ...

Talon is cool. The designer did Space Empires 4x which is a very good 4x game that can play in two hours, which is a mighty feat. Talon looks cool. The weapons are very SFB/FC inspired, and it uses an impulse system. I'll probably get it and leave it on my shelf like so many things.

Played a couple of games, highlighted by an epic battle between a Kzinti NCC and Fed NCA. Kizinti won it.

Taught a newbie the game. He caught on fast and he was interested in learning more. I suggested he put the Captain's Basic Set on order at Game Depot. Don't know if he did, but here's crossing ...

Since I started a face to face group at my FLGS, I am getting the itch for new product. Just put C6 on order at the game store, and picked up CL 46 (which has the best scenario in it ever... "All For One, and None For All").

Is there a particular reason why the three War and Peace empires (Andromedan, Inter-Stellar Concordium, Vudar) are not on the list of sanctioned forces?
