Federation Commander

I own Game Empire in Pasadena and want to order V6, but Alliance has no idea how to tell which version they have. How can they check so I don't accidentally get V5?

Here's the situation: My Federation DD is in the same hex as a Klingon D5W and D7D. In the Other Systems phase my DD declares a tractor on the D5W, which cannot duel because it is out of power. The D7D then - in the same phase - declares that it will tractor the DD. The DD does not contest the D7D ...

Our group is looking at adapting campaign system in the Admiral's Game (SFB U3.0) for Federation Commander. Two questions:

1. Are there updated fleet lists somewhere? (I want a Klingon list that uses the D5W, in particular.)

2. What modifications would you suggest in adapting the Admiral's Game ...

it is most likely that the order presented on the MITS cards is the one that will be used.

(The reason is because even if that order causes undesired [to me anyway] side effects, it does work and it is in print. Better to be consistent with product in print when possible.)

Often times I forget to use shield reinforcement to help reduce damage to a shield so I dont have to regenerate as much at the end of the turn.

Actually, shield regeneration occurs at the beginning of the turn. This is important because you can't use left-over power from a turn to repair shields ...

My opponent was using EM. At the beginning of an impulse, I asked her if she was going to continue EM. She said she would decide once I announced whether I was accelerating or not. The rules are not clear on this.

So that's the question ...

Ok, we got the ruling that declaring Emergency Deceleration comes BEFORE declaring acceleration at the beginning of an impulse (thanks Mike).

Let me clarify the question. Is this legal?

At the beginning of an impulse:

Me: "Are you accelerating?"

You: "No"

Me: "I am accelerating" I spend the energy cost

You: "Ok, I will also accelerate" You spend the energy cost

Me: "Ok, now I declare Emergency Deceleration"

In other words, can you ...

How do you declare Emergency Deceleration? Does it have to be before or after announcing acceleration? Or what?
