Excellent, thank you for the pics.

I confess that I hadn't noticed that difference with the shape of the pylons.

Fed Strike Cruiser/Battlecruiser

Anyone able to tell me please if the Fed strike cruiser uses the same secondary hull casting as the battlecruiser? Basically, is it the same mini with just a different saucer? Or does the strike cruiser have a different secondary as well?

Thanks

Oh, it's perfectly OK to get shot in the UK, just be in the wrong place at the wrong time. No licence required!

Cool, thank you. I did check out Scoutdad's pics, but couldn't see a Death Probe there.

Reason I'm asking is because I'm making a scratchbuild... it kind of bothers me that it has the firepower of a starbase but is smaller than some frigates... so.... solution...bigger Death Probes...

Colour scheme for the Death Probe

Would anyone know if there is an official colour scheme for the Death Probe?

Or, anyone who has painted one up want to share their paint scheme and/or a pic?

Many thanks!

Bleed him for a few turns first by hitting him at 9 to 15 hexes.... THEN give him his range 8 shot and smash him while he tries to reload.

Or even better, shoot him in the back!

I base mine on Litko stands which have larger bases and seem to solve many of the balance problems.

So far I've found the acrylic rod stronger than the mounting pegs on plastic bases as well.

There's also a quite clever system for bases over on Starship Combat News here:

If you are still watching this thread, would you happen to remember what Irregular call the USS Daedalus type vessel you made? (Far right in your original pic).

Thanks

It has been described previously as containing the things which it would be madness to incorporate into mainstream FC. Partly because some of those things would seriously impact on the fast play that is the reason most of us like FC in the first place.

SVC has also said in the past that at least ...

Shauneroo and I met several times, but we didn't manage to expand the group any further, and I seem to have temporarily mislaid him... at least, I hope it is temporary and that he will return to the boards.

We were meeting at a gaming group in the City.. near Moorgate to be precise about it. third ...

Inari was playing in fleet scale.

The results tend to be more dramatic then. The Fed was only making two photon rolls, so it's easier to get seemingly extreme results. In squadron scale, you'd be a lucky Fed indeed to hit with all four torps.

And in fleet scale, getting hit by two overloaded ...

I was flying the Klingon. Took most of my shots in 9-15. The Fed did get inside range 8 a couple of times, but wanted to get a really close range photon shot so didn't take the couple of opportunities he actually had.

It seems to be a problem when playing as Feds; there's a kind of hypnosis about ...
