You decide on your format yet (I read your other post).

After playing with my son at Kublacon at an open gaming table (got a few questions and positive comments from passerbys), my son wants me to run something in the future, so I have been reading your posts with interest.

Thanks for looking, I wouldn't mind Fed Space Counters asw ell in case I lose some, but since I currently have them all, and Jeffery was the first one to post, I think he should get first crack at them. Thanks for looking though!!

Exactly. I actually would like, and have always wanted to do at least once, a Federation & Empire Campaign played with SFB for the battles. I told my son he might be my age when we finally complete the game, but we would have some good memories.

Thanks. It is interesting to remember some of the rules since I have only played Federation Commander the last two years and it has been 15+ since I last played SFB.

(Like Oh yeah, I forgot Standard Photons couldn't be launched at 0 or 1, and every third hit on a weapon had to be the strongest, etc ...

This is a SFB question, but is related to his question. I just started reading my Captain's Edition rulebook to see what had changed from my Commander's (After I got back into SFU again with Federation Commander about 2 years ago). I thought the only weapon that was you needed to worry about ...

I admit when I read the rule, I came to the same conclusion as "storeylf"

I am glad "mjwest" gave a reason:

The parenthetical comment is just saying that if the ship cannot generate enough power to pay for Evasive Maneuvers when it makes the declaration, it can't make the declaration. The comment ...

Okay it took me yesterday to go through them all, but it looks like the old Volume 3 is where I need them from, so hopefully that is what you have.

My lost counter is:

Hydran "Pol 2" ...so that is the one I really want.

I have a few chewed but still playable, and just looks like they went ...

This has changed so much for me, and I loved reading all the answers (great topic).

I started out playing just Squadron scale (more like SFB to an old SFB player).

I then switched over to Fleet for awhile. Like mjwest's post, I wanted to differentiate it from SFB.

Now I have gone back to Squadron ...

Re: Favorite race/ship

Do you have a favorite race and/or ship?
How about you...
I like the old Federation CL (Texas Class). I have no idea why, but I have always loved that ship. It is just a rugged platform (with that old sub-light armor) that was used for all kinds of variants.

Not too small, but not too big. It ...

80's is what I am looking for... Take your time....I will go through mine and see which ones I need in the mean time. I really just want the ones I am missing (just the few if you have them).

Re: Tractored Ships -- Baseline Speed Reduction

Or was the latter provision meant to supersede the former? I think this is the answer. My 4th Edition Rulebook doesn't have that second provision, and only has the larger ship reduce by two. I think they probably added the movement cost provision to clarify what larger meant.

Edit: Just looked at ...

I go through spurts where I will play several a month, and then won't play for several months. A lot depends on my son (10½), and what he is into at the momment. He is into SFU right now, so we are back into playing it again (He is enjoying reading my old Captain Log's (1-17) and Nexus (1-18 ) for ...

I wouldn't mind some too. Do you have Commander's Edition Volume III counters?

I have a couple my dog destroyed many years ago (2 dogs ago actually), that I would love to replace.

I actually only get the error from:

http://www.starfleetgames.com/federation/

Which is reached from http://www.starfleetgames.com/ when you hit the Federation Commander button.

But if I go directly to the FC Forum button from that page it works, or if I goto http://www.federationcommander.com/ it ...
