Well, it was, indeed, on sale at Origins. Jean quite politely upsold me on the Booster and the corresponding Squadron Box (plastics! Yea!!).

Jean mentioned in her post-Origins blog that Booster #91 sold out at Origins. I don't know how much of their stock they brought and how much, if any, remains ...

Ah, thanks for that!

(I probably just gave away my miniatures bias!)

I just downloaded the miniatures games events schedule and didn't see any FedComm on there?

Will there be another way to find out when/where games are happening and to sign up if necessary?

But Pokemon? really? I mean I wouldn't have said anything if he said a more reputable hobby.

So, just because you don't like it you can deem it not a reputable hobby?

If you're able to attend Origins please wander into the Pokemon hall during the Nationals tournament and tell me it's not a ...

I'll be there.

Will there be any FedCom demos? I'm still learning the game (as well as looking for players). I've only played one game and that was nearly six months ago...

Ah, got it.

I got confused (and, yes, a little excited) by the use of "Star Trek"...

Finding players is definitely a challenge.

I very much want to get into FedComm, but there's no players in my area. I'd really like to get some games in before Origins. I'm hoping to meet some other players there.

But, yeah, finding players is problematic.

I hope ADB considers a similar setup with Spartan Games and their upcoming Firestorm Armada ruleset.

Spartan's rules for their Uncharted Seas fantasy naval game has been getting rave reviews for it's ease and fun-factor. I would expect the same for Firestorm Armada.

Something to look into.

Central Ohio Players (Delaware, Columbus...)

I'm a new player looking to get into Fed Comm. I've only had the chance to play a single tutorial game, but that was several months back.

I recently moved to Delaware, which is north of Columbus, OH. There's only one game/hobby shop in town (Hobby Central) and they pretty much only cater to 40K and ...
