The answer you seek is in the Grandfather of StarFleet Battles, Star Fleet Battle Manual. The clear and glow in the dark versions are explained in the rules.

They are not knock-offs, but molded intentionally in clear plastic, like the Blue and Green "Glow in the dark" plastic, white, and the now ...

Doing a friend a favor..

I just had a nice conversation with Lou Zocchi via telephone. He was calling me to follow up on a conversation we had at Origins about supplying him with decals.

The problem is I wasn't at Origins.

He had my address and phone number correct, so who ever gave that info gave him the correct stuff ...

Cool! For some strage reason I had 1/2400 scale stuck in my brain for Starline scale. I'm so glad I was wrong in that matter.

I contacted them and had a VERY positive response. Good news all around as the scale difference isn't that much. As I have most of the minis line drawn already, all I have ...

Mongoose says this morning that they are rethinking their original decision to not do decals.

I think someone out there just might be of assistance in the area.

I am so glad to see a major step in this area. Resin cast minis 3do prototyped will be a major improvement to the line, fixing the ...

I'll look on the bright side and just let folks take a stroll thru the old message boards and see for themselves just what was discussed if they are so inclined.

http://www.starfleetgames.com/discus/

Lots of discussions on how the minis were created, both the old SL2200 and newer SL2400, with a ...

I don't think there is a "lack of quality". The realities of manufacturing and marketing them in 2010 mean they are different than they were in 1984, but they are still very nice miniature starships. I know I and the other sculptors take great pride in our work and wouldn't be doing it if the line ...

This particular range of models is the only line that I know of that did not improve with age. I understand most of the reasons for this, but it so weird to be looking for 25 year old models that are manufactured better than their modern equivalents. I guess it makes me appreciate the ...

I could get the old stuff re-popped IF I could get permission to do it from the powers that be. However, it would be in resin and not metal. Metal is a poor medium to work in to begin with and now even more so because of the cost and availability. I can do so much more in resin (Making clean-up a ...
