If I was the designer of SFM I would not allow use the weapons from starships to unbalance the game , but as artillery or as air strikes are used today.

BTW off the top of your head, how many squads per game would be needed? Round number, I don't what you to spend any time looking up that info.

Nothing, but you never know what happens during play-testing, and I was thinking of making a "miniatures" game out of it. So I would need to know how many figures to mount to a base.

Will there be rules for Starship to planet ground support?

Maybe Shuttle landing zones or air/shuttle ground support?

Snipers, mortars, scout vehicles, artillery, APC's or tanks in these rules?

Its great news about the game, I just dont' like the scale change in the upcomming miniatures. I already have lots of SFB mini's and I don't want to change scales. This will suck for the many miniature buyers that have supported ADB over the years. This has a smell of Games Workshop.

I would also consider what your perspective players are interested in.

The WYN fish ships might be a great starter race, but your average player will not know who they are. Players will more then likely know the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, and Perhaps the Orions, and maybe the Gorn.

Has anyone made a player aid that has a good overview of the rules for a new player?

Looking for short and sweet rules reference.

Stuff I want included would be Maneuvers, Photon Arming, Plasmas, Shuttle rules ect.....

If not, I am sure I can write one myself.

FC is a squadron/fleet-level game and it's tournament will be three-vs-three ships, using standard ships from the game. the dynamics is not getting the most out of one ship, but getting the most bang for 300 points.

Listening to FC pod-cast the other day they were talking about Tournament ships used in SFB.

So why are there not Tournament ships for Fed Com?

It seems to me that there would be a good thing to have at conventions, or introducing new people to the game.

Federation Commander has been out for more then three years so what game system is more popular now.

Is FC more popular, becoming less popular or leveling out?

Yea with 27 internals on my fleet scale D-7 it wiped out all my weapons hull and half of my power, we surrendered.
